| News and Rumors Archives 05.04.2008 - Along with re-signing with Roush Fenway, Carl edwards could be driving in new colors next season. It appears that that UPS is close to a deal to pair up with Edwards beginning next year, although the company is still in talks with other teams amongst the Sprint Cup Series circuit. 05.02.2008 - Have heard through a very reliable source that Carl Edwards has signed a new contract with his No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing team, Edwards' contract was up at the end of the 2008 season. No word on any details of Edwards contract or how long it will be. Update: Carl signed a 3-year contract with RFR, and will remain in the No. 99 Ford Fusion after talking with Rick Hendrick and Jo Gibbs. 04.25.2008 - Edwards wants deal completed soon: Carl Edwards, whose contract with Roush Fenway Racing expires at the end of th e 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season and one of the most sought after free agents in the Sprint Cup garage, offered a small clue concerning his timetable for completing a deal.
